Shortlisted for two awards in The Herald Law Awards of Scotland 2025

The Herald Law Awards of Scotland

Allan McDougall Solicitors has been shortlisted for both the Litigation Team of the Year and the Pro-Bono Award in The Herald Law Awards of Scotland 2025.

Julie Harris, a partner with Allan McDougall Solicitors, commented: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in both these award categories and very much appreciate the judges’ recognition of the hard work, achievement, and commitment of all our team members.

Our personal injury team’s performance has surpassed all expectations in the past year. Achieving extraordinary results for clients, the team has navigated some highly complex, high-value cases, more often than not negotiated settlements well above the initial offer, recovered significantly more compensation than in the previous year, and received copious amounts of positive client feedback.

Ensuring people have access to justice is deeply ingrained in the firm’s ethos, with an extensive volume of pro-bono work being undertaken across each of our specialisms of personal injury, employment and family law every year. It has been a significant part of how the firm does business for decades, so being a finalist for the Pro-Bono Award feels very rewarding too.”

Judged by an independent panel consisting of legal industry experts, The Herald Law Awards of Scotland showcase the outstanding quality of work undertaken by the country’s leading lawyers, law firms, in-house teams, and legal sector suppliers. The awards will be presented at a formal awards dinner on the evening of Friday, November 7 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
